Frank Lloyd Wright began his quest to develop a new order of American Architecture in Chicago and the nearby suburb of Oak Park. Wright designed more than 1,000 buildings, with many of those structures in the state of Illinois and included on the Frank Lloyd Wright Tour.
Wright’s groundbreaking style of design, the Prairie School of Architecture, experimented with new concepts of space and design art that extend into the 21st century. Chicago and Oak Park are the sites of the largest concentration of Wright architecture in the world, as this area is where Frank Lloyd Wright developed his ideas as an architect and emerged as a world-renowned artist.
The Frank Lloyd Wright Tour is a great outing for family reunions, clubs and corporate groups. The tour is fun and educational and requires a minimum of 15 or a maximum of 50 people.
