This is a great event to attend if you have an opportunity while your in town.
Ask our front desk staff for directions.
For many decades, Chicago has screened the most electrifying and
unconventional new cinema the world has to offer. At the 46th Chicago
International Film Festival October 7-21, international filmmakers will
again give you new ways to see the big picture.
Building on the success of last year’s 175 screenings, this year’s festival
will include the UK’s contemporary comedy of manners Tamara Drewe.
See Argentina’s Brother & Sister, a portrait of two idiosyncratic siblings,
and Italy’s sexy and thought-provoking Come Undone. Catch the South
Korean erotic thriller The Housemaid, Mexico’s Leap Year, and French
historical romance The Princess of Montpensier.
You’ll hear Chicago’s big voice at this year’s festival in Go For It!, a
coming-of-age tale by Chicago filmmakers, and Louder than a Bomb –
the award-winning documentary about talented Chicago high school poetry
teams preparing to compete in the world’s largest youth poetry slam.
Check out the complete spectacular lineup and a sneak preview of this year’s amazing screenings.
Films will be shown at AMC River East 21 just a few blocks east of Michigan Avenue.
