Cherry Poppin’ Daddies almost singlehandedly revived the Swing movement in the 90s with their chart-topping hit “Zoot Suit Riot.” Founded in 1989 by singer Steve Perry and bassist Dan Schmid, in Eugene, Oregon, the Daddies have fused swing, ska, pop, punk, rhythm and blues, and rockabilly into a unique sound.

“Zoot Suit Riot” sold two million copies, with the title song becoming popular on the radio. Their latest album is “White Teeth, Black Heart.” Cherry Poppin’ Daddies won a 1998 MTV Music Video Award, for Artist to Watch.
