Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown are definitely in the moment with their recent albums, including “The Devil To Pay,” “Voodoo Moon,” and “Goin’ to the Delta.” They want their fans to hear what they’ve been doing recently. But in 1965, they opened for Cream and were mentioned in the same breath with legends Eric Clapton and Jimmi Hendricks. They thought of themselves as a British version of a Chicago blues band.
