John Mellencamp has enjoyed a long and storied career as a singer/songwriter of American Roots music. His 1980s hits include “Jack and Diane,” “Hurts So Good,” “Tumblin’ Down,” “Pink Houses,” and many more. He is one of the founding members of Farm Aid, along with Neil Young and Willie Nelson. Mellencamp was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

John Mellencamp’s album “Life, Death, Love and Freedom” was produced by T Bone Burnett. It debuted at Number 7 on the Billboard 200, and “Rolling Stone” magazine dubbed it the Number Five Best Album of 2008. He won a Grammy Award for Best Male Singer.

Carlene Carter is the latest incarnation from the legendary Carter Family. She began singing with her stepfather, Johnny Cash, at a young age. She joined a new version of the Carter Sisters, with mother June Carter Cash. Her albums “I Fell in Love,” “Jesus of Cool,” and “Nick the Knife,” have been best sellers.
