Reptile Fest, sponsored by the Chicago Herpetological Society, is the largest reptile and amphibian show in the country. There will 40,000 square feet of exhibits, vendors and games. If climbing into a tortoise pen has been your life’s dream, dream no more!

Hundreds of reptiles and amphibians will be on hand for Reptile Fest. Learn about the reptiles and amphibians in your own back yard. (This writer has a copperhead snake in the woods back of his house.) You’ll be able to safely hold big and little snakes, lizards, frogs, tortoises and turtles and more.

In addition to live animals, there will be skeletons and fossils on exhibit. Professional herpetologists will be on hand to talk about care and maintaining of pets, ecology and the importance of reptiles and amphibians to life.
