Story lovers should head to the Printers Row Lit Fest June 11-12, and stay at the nearby and affordable Best Western Plus Chicago Hotel at Hillside!

The Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest outdoor literary event in the Midwest, drawing over 150,000 people! Here are some highlights of the event: Columnist John Kass; “Gilead” author Marilynn Robinson interviewed by Chicago Tribune writer Mary Schmich; “How Did You Turn Sponge Bob into a Musical” (authors interviewed by Tribune critic Chris Jones); Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players; Journalist Steve Inskeep (PBS); O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marsh Clark; and so much more!

Join chefs Rick Bayless and Meathead Goldwyn as they prepare and talk about food! Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh talks about his muckraking journalism. Actor turned writer Ethan Hawke hawks his new graphic novel. Meet and talk to mystery writer Sara Paretsky. Chicagoland Poetry Out Loud teens recite poetry (this writer is a state judge for the contest). Heck, you can even attend a talk on romance novels!

There are tons of activities for kids including a mini workshop with author Patricia Carlos; Ms. Jamie’s Farm (seed planting); Royal Princess Parties; Do You Know Who POTUS is?; and much more.
