“Theater Hike” features hikes in the Morton Arboretum along with the action of literary stories performed live among 1,700 acres of trees! Performances take place at 1 p.m. weekends in July. Follow Lewis Carroll’s beloved classic “Alice in Wonderland” and watch as performers search for the white rabbit and the Mad Hatter. Performances last approximately three hours. Participants should wear comfortable shoes and bring water bottles and insect repellent. Tickets include Morton Arboretum admission.

Thursday evenings at Morton Arboretum’s Tree Summer offer live music and kid-friendly entertainment! From 5 to 8 p.m. families can explore the Children’s Garden, Maze Garden, and Tree House Tales.

The “Travel America Summer Festival” on Independence Day weekend, July 5-6, will take your family traveling through diverse regions of the United States with foods, live music, games, and tram tours of the Arboretum’s tree collections! From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., families can listen to live bluegrass music, enjoy Tex-Mex food, take part in sack races and watch Native American dancing. The festival is free with general admission.
